Description This meeting established a number of common areas of research activity and interest between Brazil and the UK. Extensive plans have been put in place to ensure that these areas are taken forward.
Exploitation Route Further collaborations and funding opportunities between the UK and Brazil have been established following this meeting and specific projects are now in the final stage of consideration by the funders.

Specific applications for a number of joint grants between Brazil and UK were submitted and reviewed and considered as high priority for funding. Discussions with Zoetis, BBSRC and Brazil Funding Bodies were undertaken over a considerable time but agreements between the funding partners have not yet been resolved.
