Acoustic Sensor Networks for Decommissioning
in Measurement and Control
Description | We have developed novel positioning algorithms that allow a swarm of robots to explore enclosed and cluttered underwater environments like nuclear waste storage ponds. These positioning algorithms are robust to non line of sight effects, either by detecting and rejecting range measurements that have large positive errors, or by moving robots so that such measurements are avoided. |
Exploitation Route | Applications that may benefit from this work include monitoring processes in industrial plants, as well as cluttered construction settings or defence scenarios. |
