Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description We have developed piezoelectric flexible sensors with high sensitivity for low-mechanical pressure monitoring.
Exploitation Route The sensors will be used for real-time monitoring of heart rate signals in collaboration with the other partners of the project.

PI Contribution We have shared with them our expertise in nanofibers fabrication using electrospinning and developing piezoelectric sensors based on electrospun nanofibers.
Collaborator Contribution We have used the lab facilities at the University of Glasgow (Department of Engineering ) to: - Fabricate electrospun nanofibers - Measuring the piezoelectric coefficient of fabricated nanofibers - Characterise piezoelectric pressure sensors under different pressure conditions using their equipment/set-up.
