Examining the host response to polymer conetworks

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

The project will provide funds to allow Dr Stephen Rimmer (Polymer Chemistry, University of Sheffield to spend some time evaluating the host response to series of novel polymeric materials that are envisaged as the next generation of scaffolds for tissue engineering. The experiments proposed will produce the first in vivo data on these materials and will provide a platform for further investigations: including trials on larger animals and eventually clinical trials.
