AZ-MRC industry partnerships for academic clinicians 2023

Abstract

The aim of this scheme is to provide clinically active healthcare professionals currently funded by MRC the opportunity to embed within a major pharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca, in order to gain knowledge and experience of the regulatory and clinical trial processes involved in the development and registration of a new therapy.

Technical Summary

This award provides dedicated time within AstraZeneca to gain experience and exposure in clinical drug development providing a detailed understanding of how to design, initiate, and conduct clinical trials. This may include exposure to the regulatory and ethical considerations and regulations required for clinical trials
