Abstract

Description A research proposal has been developed (and subsequently funded) - aimed at researching novel approaches to characterising and remediating mine waste in the Philippines. This has involved collaboration and engagement between researchers, industry and government.
Exploitation Route This will explored and developed through the follow-on project.

Description Although the overarching project objectives was to develop a full proposal for research funding, this work did allow us to engage more fully with stakeholders. Consequently, we were able to exchange knowledge with our industry and government stakeholders regarding novel solutions for tackling the problem and exploiting the opportunities presented by mine waste.
