An innovative online teaching platform that uses AI to create digital teachers and tailored lessons in order to augment teaching capacity in schools

Abstract
Trulience is a UK-based technology SME with a core project team of Marek Zwiefka-Sibley (tech entrepreneur/ex-senior director of Blackboard Inc.) and Benjamin Weekes (CTO/ex-technical director of Blackboard Inc.).
There is a global shortage of teachers, with low pay and poor working conditions contributing to high levels of teacher turnover (CPS,2021). In the UK, there is an estimated shortfall of 4K teachers, with retention rates and recruitment figures set to fall even more. As a result, students are losing the personal support necessary for academic success. Yet, there is no solution that provides low-cost, personalised, engaging and accessible learning at scale.
To meet this need, Trulience is developing an online platform using innovative CGI and AI technology to augment teacher capacity. The platform will provide digital education with a humanlike touch, offering a more engaging experience to prevent boredom and disengagement. The solution will address the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers, which currently costs the economy £56B in lost productivity every year (CEBR,2021).
Students from poorer backgrounds and areas with an unfair student--teacher ratio will gain the educational support they need. Educators will be able to harness the power of technology without needing specialist knowledge or contract expensive software developers.
No other solution provides real-time interaction within a digital educational platform and the ability to utilise innovative technology without technical expertise.
