Abstract
LifeWise Technologies Limited is a UK-based education technology SME with a core project team of Ezra Chapman (CEO), Larissa Foster (product manager), Harry Bradley (technology delivery manager) and Julie Whitney (former head teacher).
On average, teachers have reported that they work approximately 57 hours a week. Of these hours, 38 are allocated to preparing lessons for their classes. Considering the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skill's recent criticism of the personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) curriculum and the increasing rate of teacher burnout, the UK needs a solution that solves the training and time constraints that the government and the teachers face.
By combining a lesson template library shared among teachers as well as a recommendation engine and a wizard to accelerate the lesson-building process, LifeWise's platform will satisfy the need for greater lesson quality, faster lesson planning and improved student wellbeing by leveraging user behaviour data and artificial intelligence to suggest the best lesson templates for educators.
Now, teachers in the UK and worldwide will have access to a more efficient way to create lesson plans so that they can focus on their students' wellbeing as well as their own. LifeWise's platform will be the first that allows educators to edit and share their lessons with each other, using a specialised slide builder equipped with a recommendation engine that factors national education requirements to facilitate school trust-wide approaches to curate productive learning environments.
