Advanced air mobility: Communication Evaluation for Safe and Seamless operations

Lead Participant: HEROTECH8 LTD

Abstract

This project seeks to advance the field of urban air mobility by developing an advanced 3D connectivity mapping tool, designed to enhance the integration and operational efficiency of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within urban environments. By leveraging drone technology, photogrammetry, and connectivity performance monitoring, our initiative aims to create a comprehensive online visualisation platform. This platform will allow stakeholders, including telecommunication firms, urban planners, and aviation authorities, to strategically plan and deploy AAM infrastructure, addressing connectivity gaps and fostering safer, more efficient, and sustainable urban air mobility solutions. By combining existing technologies in new ways, this project sets the stage for significant advancements in urban mobility infrastructure, promoting the development of smart, connected, and environmentally friendly urban transportation networks.
