Automatic Finger and Palm Print Matching Using Multiple Features
Lead Participant:
ALGORID LTD
Abstract
"This proposal is concerned with the development of an algorithm that makes Automatic Fingerprint Identification Systems faster and more accurate. These systems are used to match full or partial finger and palm print to prints held within a database. This is useful for access control, border control and forensic print matching applications.
AlgorID Ltd has two patent application filed for a novel print extraction and matching method. Funding is sought to integrate this novel method (that uses level I friction skin features) with traditional print matching techniques.
The system enables enhanced print matching at crime scenes and high security access control for restricted areas and territorial borders."
