Abstract
The Camshaft Lightweighting through Advanced Manufacturing (CLAMP) feasibility study compares two novel
methods for manufacturing hollow camshafts with the current state of the art. Innovation combining
traditional and state of the art manufacturing processes for camshaft production with the aim of reducing
vehicle emissions and while achieving improved engine performance.
