Abstract

Using 'big data' analysis and integration approaches with lipidomics, transcriptomic and proteomic data collected from a large cohort of patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) this project aims to: 1) identify specific mechanisms of disease, which are amenable to pharmacological intervention; 2) identify accurate diagnostic, staging and prognostic biomarkers that facilitate patient stratification for therapeutic intervention; and 3) create a diagnostic pipeline and software, where samples from the patient can be tested for the presence of diagnostic markers and clinicians can easily analyse and interpret the results through user-friendly online or in-house software applications

My role was to prepare and present a poster on my research. The purpose of the event was to familiarise the researchers with the projects of the other teams, giving ideas and valuable comments on their research. Each section was followed by a plethora of questions.
