# MeToo In The Media:Justice and Discourse

Abstract

The study will examine the #MeToo social media campaign, which raised awareness of women disclosing their experiences of sexual harassment. The influence was not just felt on social media, but the wider media agenda, particularly in news coverage. The study will explore how journalists contextualised and framed the #MeToo campaign.
It will textually examine a range of content and social media platforms, as well as carry out interviews and focus groups with journalistic actors and key Twitter users. In doing so, it will contribute to debates about journalism and democracy, considering how a feminist movement was represented in the media.
