Using Automated Tools for Software Engineering Education

Lead Research Organisation: University of Sheffield
Department Name: Computer Science

Abstract

Design and develop educational systems that apply automated software engineering
tools and gamifcation concepts.
Investigate the benefits of various gamifcation techniques.
Empirically study the impact of different factors in gamified Software Engineering
education, such as the general utility of a gamified teaching system, the benefits of
contrasting gamification techniques, and how abstracted teaching methods can be
applied to different concepts.
