Abstract
New wide-field radio surveys offer the potential for major advances in our understanding of galaxy evolution, the growth of large-scale structure, and the interplay of star formation and black hole growth. As part of the LOFAR extragalactic surveys team, we are working towards the first full-quality public data release of the LOFAR Tier-1 Sky Survey (LoTSS) in early 2018, which will consist of ~300,000 radio sources in a 400 deg^2 sky area.
