Supporting women at risk of repeat pregnancy and recurrent care proceedings: A mixed methods study of Reflect services in Wales.

Barnardo's Cymru Reflect was developed by Barnardo's and Newport City Council, with the aim of supporting women at risk of repeat pregnancy and successive care proceedings. The PhD will employ a mixed methods design. The quantitative element will analyse existing data sets of regional services in south Wales and provide an overview of individuals accessing Reflect support, identified needs and evidence of change and progress. The qualitative element will involve ethnographic fieldwork and provide in-depth analysis of the 'doing' of Reflect, whilst based within the three Reflect services in south Wales. Such an approach will enable detailed examination of practice as well as the identification of barriers and facilitators to positive and sustained engagement.
