Simitive - iCOM - Proof of Concept
Lead Participant:
SIMITIVE LIMITED
Abstract
Simitive (www.simitive.com) is a specialist innovation and R&D company providing leading
edge technology solutions in the field of “people performance management”. This includes
organisational strategy & goals, work co-ordination and communication, staff engagement &
motivation and workload management. Simitive is the leading provider of these solutions in
the UK University sector, working with over 40 UK and International Universities, and is the
technology provider for the International University Performance Initiative “Performance for
All (PFA)”
(www.performanceforall.org). The work of the PFA groups was referenced as a good
collaborative project by Professor Sir Ian Diamond, in the recent “Universities UK -
Efficiency, effectiveness and value for money” report.
Following a successful “Proof of Market” research project, Simitive plan to perform a “Proof
of Concept” R&D project to investigate how a self-evolving intelligence engine could be
created to intelligently optimise the workloads of staff in an organisation. The engine would
“understand” working patterns, “identify” input and output correlations, generate “optimised”
workload plans, “comprehend” the results in real-time and “learn” how to continually
improve its own intelligence.
Should this R&D project be successful, this would provide a significant change to the way
human work is planned, executed and measured and represents a huge advance in technology
that will have large industry wide commercial appeal.
