Basaltis - Built Environment app

CADBEAM is evolving from CAD to BIM! The company Basaltis ltd received help from the Technology Strategy Board to integrate a Building Information Modelling (BIM) system into CADBEAM, its construction management mobile application. This collaborative platform allows project managers to easily view on their tablets or mobile phones what is achieved on-site and reduces rework, delays and costs by at least 10%.
This project will provide Basaltis with a huge potential for growth. Basaltis has been selected in the Sirius programme (supported by UKTI) for bringing innovative technologies to the construction industry and this research will help improve CADBEAM in a significant way.
Contractors and sub-contractors will soon be able to process BIM and 3D data directly on their tablets and smartphones, considerably reducing paperwork, delays and rework!
