Description We gained a great deal of knowledge about the creation of radio documentary programmes.
Exploitation Route The project was jointly run by AHRC and BBC and a report by them was produced.

PI Contribution Myself and c-co investigator Dr.Mike Benbough-Jackson advised BBC North on its documentary radio output for the local radio network programmes on WW1 at Home. We provided research input, suggested contributors, commented on scripts, checked facts and were asked to review programmes before broadcast.

Results and Impact Dr. Mike Benbough-Jackson participated in BBC WW1 Road Shows in Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester. These were part of a nation wide tour organised by the BBC. They were attended by over 100,000 people.
