Forbes SC (2014) Peptide YY, neuropeptide Y and corticotrophin-releasing factor modulate gastrointestinal motility and food intake during acute stress. in Neurogastroenterology and motility : the official journal of the European Gastrointestinal Motility Society

Description The was a capacity building award. Many PhD students were trained and some of these are now making their careers as early stage researchers. More importantly the 4 fellows that we recruited during the course of the grant are now senior academic members of King's College London. There are many publications, which have been identified separately, all related to drug development for common diseases. The primary aim was to train individuals in pre-clinical integrative biology and this was fully achieved.
Exploitation Route As described above.
Sectors Aerospace, Defence and Marine,Education,Healthcare,Pharmaceuticals and Medical Biotechnology

Description The final report was sent to BBSRC mid 2012. We also gave a talk to the BBSRC Key achievements were training 207 students, 4 early career researchers. Other key achievements are: i) Enabling a restructuring of the Pharmacology Dept., such that seven early career research scientists have been brought in to enable the continued and expanded in vivo teaching at King's College London. ii) Securing Mark Christie on the BBSRC Industry Impact Fellowship scheme. iii) Starting the development of a culture where Systems Biology is becoming embedded in the culture of biomedical science.
