Abstract
Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.
Description | Te ongoing work has revealed a much wider impact of the chloroplast on plant immunity than first thought. This has resulted in expanding our interactions with expert labs in USA (systemic immunity) and China (chloroplastic effector triggered immunity) - both supported through the BBSRC International Partnering Awards. This has begun to reveal new knowledge, but also come with the issues of managing resources around these areas. We aim to communicate these new insights through a high profile review in 2020. |
Exploitation Route | There is a increasingly growing interest in chloroplastic immunity - best illustrated by the the request for 2 substantial reviews from highly recongised journals over the pat 2 months. |
