Description The collaboration with Noble Foundation lead to the development of a software available on the web to carry out gene network analysis (see link below).

The workshops directly lead to a project to sequence a particularly useful ecotype of Medicago truncatula, a model legume used to study plant-microbe symbiotic interactions. This will greatly improve the usefulness of existing genetic resources Medicago research.
Exploitation Route The gene network server can be used to carry out analysis for any species and transcriptomic data type so should be useful to the greater plant biology community.

The new genome sequence will be useful to people carrying out comparative genomic studies in legumes, and those interested in legume natural diversity.
