Description The market research supported by this award has led directly to an EU bid that was submitted in Jan 2021, providing economic justification for the proposed work. The participating company (Stopford) is in discussions with University of Birmingham regarding upcoming bids for KTP and Innovate UK funds. The funds were used to underpin these. The EU bid was unsuccessful although it passed the threshold on all criteria. A new bid was submitted to BBSRC in early 2022 headed by Dr Luisa Orsini at the University of Birmingham. BB/X002713/1 (standard grant) value £1694333.35. Partner contributions value £167002 Neither would have been possible without this BBSRC pilot study. This enabled us to make a convincing case to new partners to join.
