Virus and host genes involved in re-programming of macrophage transcription in response to high and low virulence African swine fever virus isolates

Abstract

The specific objectives of the project are to 1) identify the virus-encoded proteins that cause decreased expression of host immunomodulatory genes at late time post-infection with a high virulence African swine fever virus isolate; 2) investigate the consequences on macrophage function of the increased expression of specific cell surface and secreted proteins during infection with ASFV isolates of high and low virulence.
