in Soft matter
Description | We have developed methods of causing functionalised cellulose nanofibrils to interact with soluble starch to form interpenetrating networks that thicken aqueous suspensions of these components at low concentrations, and have evaluated their use in the presence of common formulation ingredients such as small alcohols, salts, surfactants and oils. We have also studied the effects of the aspect ratio of the fibrils, the magnitude and sign of their surface charge, and the presence of fillers of diff |

The dataset contains the raw data highlighting the influence of the microstructures created during the air and freeze-drying processes on nanoscale structure (measured by small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS)), light transparency (UV-visible), chemical (FTIR), thermal (TGA, DSC), crystallization (XRD) and water contact angle properties of the cellulose nanocrystal films. |
