This proposal is to part-fund the SymPOC 2009 conference to be held in Glasgow on April 7- 9, 2009.

| Description | The meeting was very successful and featured a host of national and international speakers. Our target for registration numbers was 100 delegates, but the final registered number was 124, and so the meeting was over-subscribed. Besides the 18 speakers, a thriving poster session was held, with the numbers of posters being limited to 44. The meeting was widely praised as the best SymPOC meeting to date (it marked the 3rd meeting in the SymPOC series), and graduate students in Physical Organic Chem |
