Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description Enzymatic methods to prepare novel fluorinated and aminated celluloses
Exploitation Route Biodegradable, pH-responsive gels and films.

New ways to prepare heavily fluorinated celluloses, which exists in a new polymorphic form. This has impact on the design and use of polysaccharide materials.
Sectors Agriculture, Food and Drink,Healthcare,Manufacturing, including Industrial Biotechology,Pharmaceuticals and Medical Biotechnology

Description New engagement with Unilever, leading to an iCASE bid jointly between Field (Manchester) and Miller (Keele) in the area of polysaccharide structure-property relationships.
