Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description We have developed new methods to graft spiro0MeTAD onto a range of dyes. We are in the process of screening the solar cell parameters of the solid state DSSCs produced. We will publish our findings soon, however, this has been severely hampered by a fire at Professor Holliman's laboratories in Swansea, where the devices are being fabricated.

We are writing up a paper detailing the synthesis of unsymmetrical spiro 0MeTAD derivatives. This has been submitted to Molecular Systems Design and Engineering.

We have synthesised a range of dyes featuring tethered hole transporting materials. Devices are currently been prepared at Swansea.

Covid has had a significant impact on the progress and subsequent outputs.
