This research project aims to address the research questions:
1) What are the predicted socio-economic vulnerabilities of countries across the north east Atlantic continental shelf to climate change impacts?
2) Using future climate projections, can management and mitigation strategies reduce vulnerabilities of north east Atlantic fisheries to climate change?
The question will be answered by projecting future habitat suitability for key species under a changing climate. Assessing the socio-economic vulnerabilities of national economies to climate change impacts including: reporting uncertainty in the climate projections; and, identifying opportunities to reduce risks and mitigate for negative impacts. Production of a paper collating the study results for scientists and policy makers.
