Description | The grant led us to the critique of a lamentable quality of conversation about religion and belief across Western societies, just as we need it most. It enabled the setting up of the Religious Literacy Programme, a research-into-training initiative to identify the challenges, obstacles and needs in relation to religion and belief in a range of public settings. |

Description | The network grant established a core group of researchers, policy makers and practitioners across a range of disciplines and professions, with a working interest in public faith in common. This has translated in to the establishment of the Faiths and Civil Society Unit, a leading body in the field, with 12 Fellows from leading positions in the public sphere. |
