Letter of Intent for the Phase-I Upgrade of the ATLAS Experiment

| Description | This grant was for 18 months of a multi-year programme to upgrade the trigger system for the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, i.e. the system which identifies when a potentially interesting collision may have occurred and determines when to read out the detector. During this period we made progress towards the design of the system, leading towards a technical design report and a subsequent bid for construction funding. |
