Understanding the novel aspects of PERK signalling and

Lead Research Organisation: University of Cambridge
Department Name: Clinical Neurosciences

Abstract

1. To further characterise the novel PERK non-canonical signalling protein partners which interact with PERK via its cytoplasmic domain.
2. To develop cell-based assays which can monitor these interactions
3. To use these assays to screen compound libraries to identify compounds that specifically impact the PERK non-canonical signalling pathway and to investigate their potential neuroprotective capabilities in rodent models of neurodegeneration.
