Abstract
This project aims to contribute to transforming the way in which complex organic molecules are manufactured by developing new photochemical and electrochemical approaches usining new chemical reactors.
The starting point of this project is to develop an efficient reactor for low-temperature photochemical reactions. The reactor may be used with not only conventional solvents but those needing high pressures such as liquefied gases, and supercriticalfluids based on materials with critical temperatures below room temperature.
The work involves a combination of organic chemistry, chemical engineering and physical chemistry, and will provide broad training and contact with the end users within industry.
