Neutron transfer reactions important in novae explosions
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Edinburgh
Department Name: Sch of Physics and Astronomy
Abstract
Experimentation into neutron transfer reactions such as 18 Ne(d,p) etc. which are relevant to constraining novae models and the abundances of elements produced by such explosions. Work will involve experimentation at GSI and Triumf, with the GSI work involving the testing and development of systems for the new CARME reaction chamber
