Abstract

The aim of this project is to understand how the formulation of a crop protection agent affects the way a droplet in an agrochemical spray spreads and dries on a model leaf surface. The project will develop Raman imaging methods to characterise the distribution of components in drying droplets and in dry deposits. In addition, high speed imaging will be used to characterise the spreading and drying processes. The knowledge generated by the project will help the design of crop protection agents for new applications.
