Abstract
The proposed project has great potential to impact on social policy surrounding national and living wages, contractible
agreements between employees and employers, in-work poverty, and housing. It will provide support to
the continuing policies that aim to tackle minimum wages and low pay and promote wage progression, the reduction
of outsourcing labour to third party agencies, and the introduction of contractable benefits for low paid
workers (e.g. McKnight et al., 2016). It will also contribute to social and affordable rent policies, landlord obligations,
and affordability and quality of housing for low-paid workers in London (e.g. BBC, 2019).
