Novel Designs and Appraisal of 3D-Printed Hot-End Components

Abstract
In conjunction with HiEta, the work undertaken will include the design, manufacture and testing of a novel hybrid-wicked heat pipe manufactured through additive manufacturing. This will be for fuel cell thermal management applications. A range of wick structures will be manufactured and tested for optimal performance which will feed into the final heat pipe design. This will be followed by component integration into the fuel cell cooling system and a comparative study of standard non-passive systems undertaken.
