Quantum dot registration for on-chip quantum photonics
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Sheffield
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy
Abstract
One of the outstanding challenges for quantum dot-based quantum photonic systems is controlling both the spectral properties and the spatial location of the quantum dots. We have already established an electrical control technique for the former, and this project aims to combine this with
spatial control. A high-resolution, rapid throughput low temperature imaging system will be developed and used in conjunction with electron beam lithography to produce novel nanophotonic systems, providing scale-up to the few quantum dot level to study and exploit on-chip entanglement
for quantum network applications.
