Lead Research Organisation:
University of Sheffield
Department Name: Civil and Structural Engineering
Abstract
Undertake a brief survey of water company experience and a literature review relating to producing and maintain biologically stable water.
Undertake a literature review of current biological stability analytical methods available that could be applied to the project, and an understanding of whether new methods need to be developed and the development or enhancement and demonstration of these methods.
Undertake sampling and analysis to assess the impact of treatment processes on biological stability.
Develop a process selection matrix and decision support tool to inform the production and maintenance of biologically stable water.
