Scalable cavity quantum electrodynamics
Lead Research Organisation:

Abstract
This project will involve the design, fabrication and measurement of on-chip electromechanically tunable nanocavities. Each nanocavity will contain a single quantum dot, and the aim is to bring individual nanocavities onto resonance on a single chip, and also operate in the strong coupling regime. The interplay of coherent energy exchange within and between quantum dot-nanocavity systems will be explored by tuning cavities and quantum dots on and off resonance, with possible applications in quantum information processing.
