Department Name: Sch of Engineering
Abstract
Investigate autonomous radar and senor platforms involving multiple sensors, such as a single platform with several sensors or multiple platforms working together in a general use case. While such problems have been investigated before, it has been usually done for a specific problem.
Attempt to develop an algorithmic approach to the problem that is general and robust to different challenges such as bad weather, misalignment, radar clutter (such as buildings or the ocean), and multiple targets. Then using the constructed algorithm(s) to build a computational model and compare to real world trial data focusing on the algorithmic approach and avoiding a machine learning based solution.
