Abstract
Using techniques such as fast-slow analysis, methods from pertubation theory, and desingularisation, I analyse higher dimensional ODE models for ecological systems. Models include a model describing the spread of olive quick decline syndrome through olive tree populations in Italy, where there has been a marked decline in olive production due to the disease. Another model describes the change in fish populations and the community benefit associated for Haenyo divers in Korea and how seasonal fishing efficiency affects these.
