Abstract
We are studying many-body phenomena at the interface between quantum optics and solid-state physics utilising ultracold atoms, which we load into optical lattices. In this experiment, we use a Kagome lattice consisting of corner-sharing triangles characterised by a large degree of geometric frustration resulting in a macroscopic degeneracy of configurations which can host new physics.
