Abstract
Currently, interaction with computer aided design (CAD) software is limited to mouse and keyboard inputs. With the development of new methods of human computer interaction (HCI), it seems that the traditional mouse and keyboard inputs, which have been in use since consumer computers were first introduced, may need updating. Products designed in CAD software are increasing in complexity every year, yet methods of interaction with the software have remained similar since the introduction of mainstream 3D modelling software in the early 1990s.
