Abstract
Stability remains one of the largest issues with perovskite solar cells. This project seeks to improve upon this, with the eventual goal of reaching a fully roll to roll produced solar cell with a lifespan of 25 years. In order to achieve this, much work must be done on the fundamentals. There are many factors that effect stability and many ways in which they can be mitigated, with the addition of passivation layers, changes in CTL or perovskite chemistry, encapsulation ext. This project however seeks to improve upon stability by other means, by improving upon the basics (grain size, crystallinity, orientation ext) not only will stability improve, but as these are intrinsic properties of the material, and don't relay on additives, by optimising these properties, it will become easier to add onto cell in future needed.
