Investigation of the Higgs Bosom using data from the ATLAS Experiment

Abstract
The proposal is to use data collected by the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC to investigate properties of the Higgs Boson, such as its production cross section in conjunction with a top-quark pair. The analysis will include development of novel statistical tools using machine-learning algorithms to separate signal from background and to model detector response.
