Holography and black hole interiors

Abstract

We have begun to understand the emergence of spacetime in holographic theories of quantum gravity such as AdS/CFT, but a number of questions remain, particularly concerning the description of the spacetime region inside black holes. The project will apply ideas from quantum information theory, which have been found to be increasingly important for understanding the bulk spacetime interpretation.
