Understanding the persistence and extinction of infectious diseases

Abstract

So far I have explored the implications relating to extending classical models in mathematical epidemiology to include both event-driven and parameter-driven stochasticity. This includes both numerical methods for simulating such models, as well as, where possible, theoretical results relating to the behaviour of such a model.
