Abstract

"The aim of this project is to develop a unique method of reducing the washing temperature required to remove dirt and bacteria from soiled clothing.

The technology is highly disruptive and exploits ideas and concepts only now emerging from the research base. The biofilm control technology has applications both within the laundry industry and beyond in the global fight against biofilm proliferation.

The project brings together a multinational UK based global leader in laundry and homecare; a multinational UK based manufacturer of sustainable chemicals, an innovative SME and a leading UK university with a reputation for excellence in textile technology."
