The Formation of Young Massive Star Clusters

Lead Research Organisation: University of Leeds
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy

Abstract

The formation and early evolution of massive star clusters is relatively poorly understood. New observational data provided by the Gaia satellite will help address these issues, but a full study requires the use of other ancillary data as well. The aim of this project is to build as complete a picture as possible of the state of young massive star formation regions in order to constrain the existing star formation models.
